Command Sergeant Major Corey K. Cush was born in Manhattan, NY on 26 October 1968. CSM Cush is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and has earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from Monroe College.
CSM Cush enlisted into the Army on 6 August 1986 and served for four years. His tours included Augsburg, Germany (VII Corps), FT. Ord, CA and Colon, Panama. He joined the National Guard on 7 August 1990 and his first unit of assignment was A Battery, 1/258th Field Artillery at Kingsbridge Armory, Bronx NY. He later went on to serve in several different positions, including Section Chief, Platoon Sergeant, RTI TAC NCO, BNCOC Instructor, BNCOC Course Manager and later Combat Arms Course
Manager. CSM Cush was appointed to Command Sergeant Major of the 1/258th Field Artillery on 1 September 2005.
